Pilates & Yoga

Honestly, I forget how important it is to stretch and take the time to refuel your body. This morning I spent 20 minutes doing Pilates and wow! I feel like a new woman. I found out that Budapest also has a center for Bikram Yoga which is where you do several yoga moves but it's in a sweat box. Can't wait to try that! In my overactive personality, it's easy to forget that some of these slower, methodical ways of exercising are just as important.

Agreed. I recently started up with pilates . . . and I was seriously embarrassed by how unflexible I am! For some reason, I'd always thought that taking the time to do pilates or yoga would be taking time away from training . . . but now I realize, it will actually really enhance my training. Let us know how Bikram goes! I've heard quite a buzz about it . . .

when are you going jen? i am so excited to hear what you think. truly it is not for everyone and really more of a mind over matter excercise which i think really helps when you are pushing yourself crazy distances in marathons and such. i know it helped me get through my measly 13miles. love you.
i am thinking about doing another one. its one where rock bands play at every mile marker. should be fun. another half is all though, and walkers are welcome...otherwise i wouldn't even consider.
